5 Yoruba movie actresses speak on their tattoos

5 Yoruba movie actresses speak on their tattoos

 In this list we have compiled five big Yoruba actresses who have tattoos.

You can start reading below;

  • Iyabo Ojo- "I don’t really have as many tattoos as people think I do. I just have three on me and they all have their significance. The one on my hand is a rose and it signifies love. The one on my chest is a crown and it means that I am a queen in whatever I do – I call the shots. The one I have on my back means that I see you even though you think I don’t. I see everything you are doing, so watch it. They all have meaning and I am just someone who loves tattoos. There are no negative reasons I love them. I am not the only one wearing a tattoo, there are so many celebrities, both local and foreign, who wear them. It is just something I like. I can not describe why I like it. I feel it is sexy" - 2013.

    Tayo Odueke (Sikiratu Sindodo) -  I wear different kinds of clothes just to fit into the character I am playing at a particular time but I am different. That I have tattoos and piercings does not matter. Some people that do not have all these things are worse. - 2013

Ayo Adesanya - “I recently had a surgery, it’s fading off gradually but it’s so painful. It gets swollen and too painful,” she said. It was painful when I first did it but removing it now is more painful. I’m supposed to go for another surgery soon. I actually went to a church to pray and they gave me a Bible verse, I never knew it was against Christianity until the Pastor opened a passage that I should read, and that was how I knew. It’s actually so beautiful when you have tattoos but immediately I knew it was a sin then, I made up my mind to clean it- 2013
Lola Alao- "I got my tattoos initially because I wanted to shoot a movie and after that I just fell in love with them. The one on my left shoulder is Praise, which is my daughter’s name. I have so many. I was just having fun when I did them and I don’t have any regrets. My most important tattoo is my daughter’s name. They are all permanent. I have no regrets about my tattoos. I only learn from my mistakes. The secret to my success is God"- 2015.

 Bimbo Thomas - "The design of the tattoo on my arm is crucifix, which symbolizes Christ, His passion. If you look closely, there is heart design there, it stands for love. It shows that Christ loves us and for Him to have died for us, he had taken away all our sins and burdens. He has told us to love as he has loved us. I chose this design of tattoo because of the love of Christ. I think by wearing it, even when someone hurts me and I want to retaliate angrily, somehow something would tell me that you are wearing a crucifix on your arm. If Christ could do this for me, why can’t I let go and love my fellow human being regardless. By so doing, I let the anger go. My tattoo ministers Christ to me" -2013
